The 8 Unwritten Rules of Movie Trivia
We all know the actual rules of the game. Keep your hands on screen, don’t google shit. But there are many unwritten, unspoken rules that we all, at some point have followed. Thanks to the other Rogue Nation members for helping put these together.
1. When the answer to a question is Shia LaBeouf, you are required to prefix your answer with “Actual Cannibal”
2. If a player in Round 1 says “I don’t know” and gives the right answer and you also have the right answer, you have to say “I don’t know” in the same tone of voice.
3. The ! in movies such as “Shazam!” and “Airplane!” must be written and pronounced.
4. When the answer is Hotel or Motel, someone is legally required to say Holiday Inn.
5. During your opponents Round 2, pretend to write something on your board to make your opponent think you could steal.
6. If the answer to a question is Christopher Walken or Al Pacino you are required to do an impression of them when answering.
7. When spinning a category you absolutely don’t want, you must say “I don’t hate it, but I think we can do better”, hoping that will convince your opponent not to give it to you on opponents choice.
8. If you’re unsure about the specificity of an answer, put the extra bits in brackets so the hosts understand that bit doesn’t count if it’s wrong.
