The Most Unique Accomplishments that don’t Result in Belts
I wanted to make a list of rare or unique achievements that don’t result in a belt or their name on the website. They are things I think about often, and like to bring up while people are playing. So check out some accomplishments I hope these people are proud of.
From Zero to Hero: Albert Wiradharma
Albert started his Fandom career on a roll. He went 3-0 in his rookie season until losing to Eli McCaig in round 2 of the Fandom tournament. Thennnnnn Albert had a bit of a downturn. That loss lead to three more losses, a penalty at the time that would result in a retirement match. Four losses in a row could mean that your Fandom days are numbered. However, Albert knocked out his opponent in his retirement match, and one year later was able to get his shot at the title. Some others have done something similar. Adelaide Spence, Jay Burnz, and Jim Green have all played in singles retirement matches and teams title matches, but Albert Wiradharma is the only one to bounce back from the lowest point in a singles career and make it to the highest.
Flipping the Script: Zaddeus Smith
Albert’s story is a comeback story for sure, but Zaddeus’ is equally as impressive to me. Many people have come back from negative records and turned them around, but none to the tune of Zaddeus. Having been around for quite some time, Zaddeus’ record was at one point as low as 2-7. A five point difference. However, Zaddeus had a few undefeated seasons and to this date has brought his record back to positive from the biggest discrepancy we’ve ever seen.
