The Best Fandom Players to Never Win a Belt…Statistically Speaking

Don’t get mad at me. This is strictly by the numbers. These are the best Fandom players to never win a Fandom belt.

5. Rene Villareal, Jr.

Though RJ found many teams to be a part of, none of them really came close to winning a belt. The same can’t be said of his singles career. RJ is a staple of the first age of Fandom. He played in two singles contender matches. His first saw him take down future champion Dominic Rizzi, giving him one title challenge under his belt. He still is on the top ten list of players with the most wins at 14, and was never someone to take lightly.

4. Tyler Beutler

Tyler challenged for a teams belt with Some Like It Hoth, and made it to multiple contender matches as half of License to Chill 2.0. He also fought in singles contender matches against former champions and made it deep in tournaments. Overall he was a silent threat that came out of nowhere and vanished just as quickly. Now that he’s back in a certain capacity, it’s certainly possible for him to climb right back up.

3. Albert Wiradharma

Albert is the ultimate comeback player. To go from a retirement match to a nearly successful singles title and multiple teams title challenges I think gives him the crown. It’s not just the comeback aspect of Albert’s career that’s impressive. The dude is a beast. He nearly defeated Joe and the Knights of Ren. Some of the most dominant champions only barely escaped Albert. He is someone I consider to be in the upper echelon of players and someone who will always be considered one of the best to never win a belt, unless of course he changes that.

2. Ryan Payne

A new player to Fandom Singles, and technically speaking, has been the furthest away from a title of anyone on this list, Ryan is still known to be a Fandom force. He’s the highest ranked active player to never win a belt, and has been part of teams that could have made the leap if they stuck around longer. Most believe his singles career will lead to a title shot sooner rather than later.

  1. Maggie Brzakala

They call her the GOAT for a reason. In her short time playing, Maggie made it to a tournament final, challenged for singles and teams belts, won rookie of the year, and only lost to the two members of the Knights of Ren individually. I doubt we would ever see a Macaw return, but if we did she would be the next person to win a belt for sure.
