For the purposes of this list, we will recount every time in Melee or Fandom, where two currently active teammates played one another, mono y mono in a Contender Match or Title Match. Team 80’s Civil War
Jeremy Adams vs Sandy Robinson
This war actually occurred in Fandom. Back in the first season, Team 80’s were Fandom Teams title contenders, and the two found their way to a singles contender match at the beginning of season 2 that ultimately saw Jeremy challenge for the Fandom belt.
Knights of Ren Civil War
Nicholas Twohig vs Tim Brzakala I and II
The Knights faced off twice, once as the conclusion to the 2020 tournament, which led to Nick’s first singles title. The second was one year later when Tim won the very same tournament and challenged Nick for the title.
Manhattan Project Civil War
Thomas Scully vs Kaleb Koho
Thomas Scully dominated the first two Fandom Last1Standings. The first saw him win the MVP award. He waited until the end of the year to cash in for a chance to play in a triple threat title match. He chose none other than his own teammate, Kaleb Koho, and brutally knocked him out.
Wookiee Mistake Civil War
Joe Farrelly vs David Garcia
David had been overshadowed by the insane year that Joe Farrelly had in 2022. However, after multiple teams title match victories, the two faced off at the Final Act for the singles belt. The win cemented Joe’s year, but showed that David was equally ready to play.
Duel of the Fates Civil War
Brittani Tapley vs Tyler Burch I and II
Brittani and Tyler were the other pair who have had two civil wars. Similarly, the two faced off in the finals of the 2022 Singles Tournament, which saw Brittani challenge for her first title. However, she wouldn’t win it until the following year. Then she lost it, and won it back again off her own teammate who had picked it up in her absence.
Wrong Side of the River Civil War
Amaru Moses vs Jacoby Bancroft II
The most recent civil war pitted the teams champions, Wrong Side of the River against each other. Amaru and Jacoby had played before, but this time the stakes were much higher. With increased confidence thanks to the gold around their wastes, the two made it through very difficult opponents, and clashed again. This led to Amaru’s second singles title challenge.
